Annual Boiler Servicing

You should have your boiler serviced once a year. Annual servicing helps prevent breakdowns, maintains efficiency, keeps your home safe, and is typically required to keep your manufacturer's warranty valid. We recommend booking your service around the same time each year – ideally before winter when you'll be relying on your heating most.

Our standard service includes a visual inspection of the boiler and installation, combustion analysis to check efficient burning, safety device testing, flue integrity checks, efficiency testing, cleaning of key components, and checking controls are working correctly. You'll receive a service report detailing our findings and any recommendations. If we identify issues requiring parts or additional work, we'll discuss this with you first.

A standard boiler service typically takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your boiler type and condition. Our stripdown service takes longer, usually 2-3 hours, as it involves more detailed work. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you book, and our engineers always work efficiently whilst being thorough.

Yes, we'll need to turn your boiler off whilst we carry out the service. However, for a standard service, the boiler is usually only off for the duration of the visit (around an hour). We'll always aim to restore your heating and hot water as quickly as possible, and we'll let you know if we encounter anything that requires the boiler to remain off for longer.

If we discover any issues during your service, we'll explain what we've found, what needs doing, and provide clear pricing before carrying out any additional work. Minor adjustments are included in the service price, but if parts are needed or more extensive repairs are required, we'll always get your approval first. Your safety is our priority, so if we identify anything dangerous, we'll make that clear and advise on the necessary action.
